Wow, so, I was convinced it had only been a few weeks since my last post but apparently it’s coming up on two months now. My bad!

The truth is, there are a lot of things going on right now that I don’t feel necessary to share with the public, not yet at least… and that makes blogging on a regular basis a little complicated. There have been some big changes in my life, and there will be some even bigger changes in the near future. These changes are not easy, and I’m truly just not ready to talk about anything yet.

Don’t worry you guys, I’m okay. Well, mentally and emotionally not quite, but physically yes I’m healthy, except for the toll of stress on my body. Hello unforgiving breakouts and weird hormonal cycles (TMI? Hi to any males that read this). But that is all temporary.

One thing I will tell you is that I spent Christmas alone this year. I had to work at the hospital, and honestly, as upsetting as it was coming up on the holiday, it really didn’t end up being all that bad. And I made my trip to Michigan to see family and friends just a few days later. I’m typically a lighthearted person so instead of getting deep and philosophical on you, I’m going to tell you the honest truth as to why it wasn’t so bad.

Anyone a Netflix fan? Yea? How about that Orange Is the New Black? Crazy eyes is my fave, but I have love for all the ladies on that show. I got sucked into it just a few days before Christmas, and by that I mean I watched 6 episodes in one sitting. And you know what? Binge-watching shows about a female prison can turn out to be a good thing because I learned something from that Yoga Jones and her Mandala story.

“Do you know what a mandala is? The Tibetan monks make them out of dyed sand laid out into big, beautiful designs. And when they’re done – after days or weeks of work – they wipe it all away. Try to look at your experience here as a mandala. Work hard to make something as meaningful and beautiful as you can and when you’re done, pack it in and know it was all temporary. You have to remember that. It’s all temporary.
